Dread Updos

Clients often ask me how to style their dreads.

Don't be afraid to experiment. You can braid them, cornrow them, curl them, tie them into pony tails, pig tails, buns and of course my favourite.. knots! Not to mention all the wonderful different kinds of materials you can add such as ribbon, yarn, wool, beads, feathers, flowers or pipe cleaners.

If your dreads are too heavy to wear up in one big pony tail, start with a smaller pony tail by gathering fewer dreads at the crown of your head. Then, take the surrounding dreads and tuck them or tie them into the center pony tail. This will also help to distribute the weight of your locs more evenly.
