Q: How did you find Karen?
Paul: I did not find her. I discovered her!... on a bleak November workday in downtown Toronto. I was at St. Mikes Hospital, desperate for a good cut. She was working at Nino D'Arena, desperate to get some work experience and 86 that place as soon as humanly possible. How well I remember her instant energy and cheerful smile. Fortunately, some things never change.
Q: How long have you been her client?
Paul: About 7-8 years, and we keep teaching each other along the way.
Q: Most memorable stylist/client moment?
Paul: During my first cut, Karen remarked that I had about 5 cow-licks on the top of my head, and she is to this day, the only person who can cut my hair in a way that prevents them from sticking way up and out!
Q: Any particular favourite style/colour Karen has done for you?
Paul: My favourite style/colour is a look that you created in the photo above.
Q: What kind of work do you do?
Paul: I am the Director of Development at www.ffb.ca (but that is so boring).
Q Favourite quote?
Paul: Friends say that I should have been born a lesbian.
Paul's favourite place for a little R&R is up at his cottage. What a view!
