My deepest condolences to the friends and family of John Steinberg.

I am truly ashamed to say I had no idea that the legendary John Steinberg passed on the 31st of August. This man was a hair prodigy and everybodys friend. His vivacious and impressive 50 year career is awe-inspiring. I will never forget the day he rode his bike over to my salon on Queen Street. He walked in, introduced himself and welcomed me to the neighbourhood. John never said a bad word about anyone and hairstylists are notorious for trash talking other hairstylists. I wish more would learn from his example. John Steinberg was 1st class all the way.
